The association “The Most Beautiful Villages in Switzerland”, founded in 2015 in Lugano, aims to preserve and present the small treasures of Switzerland and Liechtenstein in order to make them known at national and international level. To be part of it, villages must be particularly deserving and located in an exceptional landscape. Authenticity and historical aspect are also essential criteria, as is the willingness of the municipality to work in a network.
